If you’re like me, Mondays in the office start off in the shallow end. My search for the creators of those quirky Comcast “sims” commercials has pretty much occupied my day so far. Check these out.
From Goodby, Silverstein & Partners
They dont make me want to go out and buy nuts but they’ve taken that quirky off beat humor and ran with it. +5 our of a possible 10.
While I really dislike Comcast and their business practices, they have the ability to make these slightly off the beaten path, catchy spots. +7 out of 10.

How does the pear get in the bottle? Do they grow it in the bottle? If they grow it where is the soil? Is this a question for Yahoo!Answers?

Working a big boy job has its perks. Weekends off, vacation days, and happy hours for the most part. Normally for happy hour, we are provided with beers and wine starting at 4pm every friday, but due to these economic hard times, we are left to find our own booze for the final hour of the work week.
A quick jog to 7-11 and happy hour begins.

What work is accomplished during the happy hour remains a mystery. I for one usually spend my time closely following Layer Tennis over at Coudal Partners.
Every Friday they host competitions in the fields of illustration and motion graphics. Players have 15 minutes to manipulate a file before they pass it back(a volley). Meanwhile, guest commentators comment on each volley and then determine a winner. Pretty cool stuff, check it out.

Just calling a spade a spade..
Studded Ruffled Vest, $209

Flag Silk Tee, $119

Ruffle Leather Jacket, $598

Some Collect shoes, others hand bags. I collect comics. Mostly from the 1990s & upwards.
Wednesday marks the release day of a few of my jams. Check em out at Vigilante Press.
Batman: Gotham After Midnight (11 of 12).
Kelley Jones inks while Steve Niles writes. The story while similar to a long Halloween(thus far), is pretty decent but its the artwork by Jones that keeps me coming back every month.

Batman: battle for the Cowl
Art by Tom Mandrake and written by royal Mcgraw.
Ive not read many comics that either of these guys have done but Ive been digging the trend of telling a story from someone other than a batman or Spiderman. This is a welcomed change. Judging by the cover and inside art, this series will at least be visually pleasing.
I’m hoping Robin is M.I.A in this run. I cannot take the dark knight serious when he has a child in tights following his every move. I mean really, who ever wanted to be robin growing up? Not I thats for sure. You can find me brooding in the shadows like my guy bats over there. Read the preview here

Finally to close, an exerpt from this past Sunday’s Tim and Eric Show.

I’ve started my Spring cleaning physically and I’m ready to tackle it electronically. DBC gets mad E-mails all the time regarding new artists, events, DJ’s, I think even a comedian once and SORRY, I ignore them. Everyone ignores them. No one cares unless it’s Latarian Milton, Henry Rollins or 9am workout mixtape related. (HINT: E-mail DBC mixes, preferably 40 minutes to coincide with my treadmill program time.) Anyway, here are some of the artists that E-mailed me, let’s go:
-Karmaloop hollered with a new “Their Words” piece with Kid Cudi. Power 92 and WGCI love Kid Cudi. So do I. Click here for the video.
-We get the most E-mails from Jay Greedy. Persistance; I like that in a man. He’s in Urb Magazine’s next 1000 and he’s of Nigerian heritage (this is all in his bio). What a babe. Click here for his music Myspace page.
-Peter, Bjorn & John “Nothing To Worry About” (Troublemaker Remix) featuring Adam Tensta, UNI and the 87 Stick Up Kids. Click here for the MP3.
-The Management presents/Radius – “Process of Elimination” Click here to check for the free download.
I’ll try and do this once a week..
